New game - Trip the Light Fantastic
Here’s the website for my upcoming iPhone/iPod touch dancing game - Trip the Light Fantastic.
Brian Eno interviewing Brian Eno.
This is kind of mesmerizing.
It’s clear that Bioware are exploring a rather strange land between action games and RPGs, and there are bound to be some missteps (like the god-awful planet scanning minigame) but by and large Mass Effect 2 is a success. My wishlist for ME3 (mild spoiler alert for ME2)
- Better level design for the shooting sections. Obviously not Bioware’s area of expertise but they should learn from some of the mistakes in ME2.
- Some missions where you have more squadmates (mainly because some of them are too cool to be left behind in the Normandy)
- At least one level that has everyone fighting together. I always expected this to be part of the finale (since it seemed so obvious) but it never came.
- More missions where you can send certain squadmates on lone missions. This seemed like a brilliant touch in the finale, and they should have made it part of some of the missions leading up to it.
Meanwhile onwards to Amnesia (mainly because I’m constrained to OS X while working on the iOS game and there’s nothing else I can play on it)
Beautiful
